Taken in Richmond Park, where deer love to take a nap under the setting sun. You could literally walk over them and they probably wouldn't notice :p

Stunning shot.
Would not even know where to start with this photo ..

The rim lighting around the trees is a great highlight of this photo! as well the bright and vibrant gold wheat/grass (?). This add such a nice dynamic effect to the whole picture as the trees are really dark and there is a low of shadow within the clouds.

Composition wise I was very curious of this as it's a vertical shot of a landscape which not many people tend to do. But I do quite like it. My only bad point about this would have to be that half the tree is being cut off at the right hand side of the photo. I would of personally left it so there was a gap there by zooming out or taking a couple of steps back :)

All in all a fantastic shot ! Not really seen before and great execution :D :rose:

bad photoshop??? it really looks like you've "touched" the trees and the bright yellow land and if zoom looks like photoshoped. Am I the only one???

A really good image, but it would lose nothing by cropping the bottom 25 or 30%. One might be so adventurous to explore where a crop to a square would wind up. There almost isn't a photograph made that can't benefit from a judicious crop.

PS - unless you are sure you are going to shoot action shots, a more standard default ASA would be 200. Then if you crop you won't need to worry about noise.

The colors and the surreal quality of this is really good.

I never saw so much deers at one place! It almost looks unnatural and it has some mystic touch in it. The light even increase this feeling. The colours are very soft and it gives me a calm feeling to look at this.

wow. this picture makes you think. From a distance, you have to really exam the photo to realize that those are antlers and the deer or elk are low in the high grass. The colors are outstanding, so very much harvest and autumn. I love the sweeping cloud formations in the blue sky against the blazing orange and rolling greens and yellows. So comforting and awaking all at once. Great , job Letha421

What an awesome find! Just great. In my opinion, this image lends itself more to a horizontal composition than a vertical one. Did you take any in landscape format?

Yes, you're quite right, it would have been interesting to at least compare the two formats. Unfortunately, I didn't have much choice as to the composition: although you wouldn't tell by looking at the picture, the deer were all gathered on a rather small turf with roads on both sides and people on them :( That's the blessing and the curse of Richmond Park: the deer are not frightened of humans but on the other hand it's hard to catch them on their own without onlookers and in a really sheltered space.
